Tips That Will Make Shopping Easier on Our Site!
Want to know if we actually have your item In Stock? Our site has real time inventory. if we are out of stock, you will see an 'Out of Stock" message appearing in the product description line. (It will also let you know if we are accepting backorders.) otherwise, the Item is In stock! Be assured if we do have a bad count; we will contact you asap and do what we can to take care of ya!
Check out our Slot Car Category pages first. When you go to our individual product pages, just click on 'SHOW NEW PRODUCTS ONLY' above the top bar of the product listing to see only the new products for that category.. Neat huh!

If you answer yes to any of the following questions, this may just be the hobby for you. I'll give you my answers too, just to see if you can
relate: Take the quickie slot car hobby quiz (Beware though, 1/32 slot car racing is an addicting hobby!)
Looks like you are ready now for the info on 1/32 slot cars! This is what I recommend to get started:
1) Buy a
track set
of the brand of your choosing, or maybe 2. You get everything you need to get started right inside one box. I always recommend the biggest set you can afford. The big sets come with the most amount of track, and some come with a lap counter and/or some borders, both of which you will want. If you buy 2 or more sets, not only do you get more cars and track, you get spare powers supplies and controllers. It's always good to have spares of both of these items, and I also recommend individual power supplies for each lane. There's a lot of "bang for the buck" value when you buy a track set.
2) At the least, get a few extra packages of straight tracks. It's the easiest way to expand your existing layout. (Of course, I know some of you are very tight on space, if so take a look at the
Ninco Master Track . It was designed for folks like you in mind.)
3) CARS, CARS, CARS!!!! That's what this hobby is all about!! We LOVE CARS!! Buy a couple more cars (or 10 or 12) right off the bat.
Buy in pairs from the same manufacturer and of the same style, so they are evenly matched. The cars in the sets are just fine, but different cars have different characteristics and it's more fun when you have more of a variety to race with.
4) You'll need to maintain these cars and tweak them on occasion so you'll need to buy one of our
basic maintenance kits and watch our video. (Remember, the lube we sell is made specifically for this hobby, WD-40, 3-1 Oil and other products you may have in your shop at home are not appropriate for plastic parts.)
PHASE 2......
Okay, so you've decided you're in love, in love with your new hobby that is. A temporary layout on the floor of the living room just ain't gonna cut it for you anymore! So, next thing you do: Check out other peoples' creation at our
"Your Tracks" section of course!
Now, it's time to build a table, yes a table so huge that it will actually hold the 1/32 scale layout of your dreams and so sturdy that if you wanted to, you could have a dance party on that table!
Okay, if you can relate to this at all, these are some of the things you might be needing from HotSlots132.
1) If you don't have it already, it's time to buy an extra track set and a bunch of extra track. That track planner you've been considering will come in real handy now too. It's time to get serious and get to work designing that layout!
2)
Buildings and Figures
: 1/32 scale grandstands from Scalextric or Carrera, SCX Pit garages and figures from Carrera or Monogram. They're all good and it's just fine to mix and match. Train guys have nothing on us, we know our prized slot car collection looks better on a scale model layout of the race circuit of our dreams.
3) MORE CARS!! Yes, it's time to buy more cars, 'cuz it's all about the cars man, we love CARS!!
4) Slot car
books
and
magazines
are going to help you learn and give you ideas. Even when you are not racing them, you're thinking about them. You won't be the only guy who has fallen asleep in your favorite chair with a slot car magazine on your face.
5) Hop-up parts like silicone tires and lead weight are often on your orders to HotSlots132. Stock tires just aren't cuttin' it for you, and you just know you can find that "sweet spot" on the chassis of your favorite car for that little chunk of lead that's gonna cut a tenth off your lap time.
Congratulations my friend.... it is now official, you are most definitely a SLOT CAR NUT!! Your papers are in the mail!!
