Version 1.1 controller
Click here to see the instruction manual for Slot.It controllers.
Maximum current capacity: 6 amps. (In other words, if your car’s motor and magnet combination causes it to draw more than 6 amps it can overload and damage the controller’s circuitry.
Carrera, Fly, Ninco, Revell-Monogram, Scalextric, SCX, , Slot-It, and other 1/32 scale home track cars should not cause any problems with this controller, at least in stock form. However, if you hop up the cars with Cheetah, Falcon, some of the hotter NSR motors, and similar motors, especially if you are using a strong magnet installation, you need to be sure they are not drawing more than 6 amps. There is supposed to be a higher-amperage upgrade for this controller coming later.
Works great with hometracks:
Just reverse the transformer plug and hook up black, red/yellow and splice on the plug from your old controller.
A note directly from the owner of Slot. It:
Jim,
Currently the SCP-1 is 'positive wired' (common ground) which is NOT
compatible with the standard power base made by Scalextric or SCX way
('negative wiring', i.e. common positive). 'positive wired' is the
raceway standard.
The appropriate cartridge for Hornby's power base version will be
available soon.
Kind regards
Maurizio

"The Polarity of all the Home Tracks as far as I know is the opposite polarity.
The diagram shows the wiring required for the Electronic Type controllers offered by PM etc. The Slot.it with be the same Positive Polarity
The white wire would be connected to the + on the power supply.
The - would connect to the red on the power supply.
This is called Positive Polarity or Negative Brake.
Scalextric, and I believe all the other Manufacturers, are Negative Polarity which will require a different Module which will come out later (
2008 )"
This controller requires 'common ground' wiring. Please made sure your track is properly wired. Scalextric analog power base is not compatible as it is 'common positive'. An appropriate common positive cartridge must be used in such case.
Features
1 contactless trigger position readout
2 adjustable braking (Brake knob), sensitivity (Min speed knob) and
'Antispin' (Power trim knob)
3 the fourth knob has two working modes:
a - max speed: it sets the max speed from 100% down to 40% of the max.
Great if you have children. Ghost car / motor run-in mode.
b - set curve: continuosly variable middle point of power curve (coupled
with the adjustable sensitivity, what it means is that you have two
adjustable points in the power curve and can tune the response to your
needs)
4 Datalogging and telemetry interface (requires additional external
box available later on)
5 interchangeable I/O module for compatibility with: standard
analogue, SSD, N-dig (and possibly others)
