Accepted methods of payment
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover credit cards and cash payment via Western Union. We do NOT accept PayPal.

TRACK SETS
Please read about the various shipping methods on our page. It gives you a lot of valuable information! Depending on the method you choose, you may have tracking and insurance options and your order can reach you anywhere between a day and about 2 weeks.
Track sets ship via (United States Postal Service) overseas. We can use UPS ground to Canada.
USPS has size restrictions that vary by country. We have made a list of the countries we ship to most frequently and their box restrictions,

* If you do not find your country on our list, then visit the
USPS Box-Price Calculator to determine the size of the boxes they will ship.
* Put the name of your country in the box on the first page.
* Enter a weight of 1lb in the weight area.
* Click on the 'Continue' button and you should see maximum box dimensions on the next page just under each shipping method. If you have any problems with this,

If the dimensions are too large for your country, you will need to choose a smaller set, OR we are able to repackage your track set into two smaller boxes (you will not receive the original manufacturer carton of course). You can approve this in the checkout section of the website.
Unfortunately, sometimes the Postal website does not calculate orders that need to be shipped in more than one box due to weight. You will see this message and instructions to follow:
USPS international shipping only calculates one box per order. Your order is over 70 lbs, and it needs to be in multiple boxes due to weight and size.
Please choose Hold for in-store pickup as your shipping option.
In the Add Comments About Your Order section at the bottom of this page:
1. Tell us you want this shipped USPS Priority Mail International.
2. Tell us if you want it insured.
3. Tell us it is OK to take track sets (they are normally too large to ship) out of packages.
4. Let us know if you want a shipping estimate before we ship. We can't give you an exact cost, but will we be glad to give you an estimate for your approval, before shipping your order. We will bill your credit card for the actual postal shipping costs.
We are glad to test major electrical components like terminal track, controllers, digital pit boxes, pit lanes, etc.. before we ship your order, we may need another day to get this all done for you We do this due to the high costs of shipping and extra time involved for you to receive a replacement in case there is a defective component. You will of course receive items that have been opened if we do this, so if you DO NOT want us to test your merchandise, please let us know! We are doing this as a service only to our international customers.

SLOT CARS, ACCESSORIES AND TRACK PARTS
The price of shipping depends on the shipping method you choose. When you put an order through on our website, it will give you different costs for the various shipping options. When we actually box up your order, the actual cost may differ from the website because it is only an estimate. (For orders with just slot cars it is normally very close; large packages is where we see differences from the website.) We will either refund the excess shipping charges if it is cheaper or bill you the difference if it turns out to be more, if you have approved this.
Customs Duty, special fees, taxes and other charges may be imposed on you!
Some countries reserve the right to impose customs duties, taxes or other fees on imported products. Our company has no control over this and cannot be held responsible for these charges. Please note, HotSlots132 Slot Car Shop can not choose or select any courier service or delivery company when we ship by USPS Global Express or USPS Global Priority. Couriers are selected by each country's Postal Service.
Any customs duty or fees are the responsibility of the customer, and HotSlots132 Slot Car Shop cannot be held responsible. If you don't know the customs regulations in your country, you should call them first before ordering.
Special Note on UPS Canadian brokerage fees! We have negotiated a special brokerage fee for our Canadian customers who use Ground shipping.
*For orders under $20 CAD there isn't a brokerage fee (this is standard)
*For orders between $20 and $200 CAD in customs value there is only a $10 brokerage fee (plus tax).
*For orders over $200 in customs value, there will be the standard brokerage fee.
*200.01 to 350.00 CAD brokerage fee is 42.95 (plus tax)
*350.01 to 500.00 CAD brokerage fee is 48.25 (plus tax)
*500.01 to 750.00 CAD brokerage fee is 54.85 (plus tax)
*750.01 to 1000.00 CAD brokerage fee is 61.40 (plus tax)
*1000.01 to 1250.00 CAD brokerage fee is 67.95 (plus tax)

Please understand, we do not guarantee you will receive your shipment. This is the responsibility of the carrier. They provide insurance options listed below where they will verify that it has reached customs in your country. Since they do not deliver to your door, that is as far as their insurance goes. If they show the item has reached your customs, then it is then the responsibility for your customs agent to find it. If your agent does not do this, then there is nothing the Postal Service can do. Our company cannot be held responsible if your package is lost or damaged. This does happen on rare occasions. Please read the information below carefully. We also have no control over how long the postal system takes to deliver your package to your country. Again, all we can do is ship your order as quickly as possible, and we do this faithfully. Please allow extra time, no matter what U.S.P.S. says is their delivery time!
Express Mail International provides a tracking number to most major destinations and these orders are insured against loss, damage, or rifling up to $100.00 at no additional cost until the order gets to your customs dept. Express Mail International generally arrives in 3-5 business days. However, there is NO guarantee that it will arrive in this time frame. Optional insurance coverage for shipments above $100.00 is available for merchandise items only. The insurance fee is $1.00 for each $100.00 or fraction thereof. The maximum weight limit ranges from 22 lbs to 70 lbs; but for most countries it is 44lbs. You can request adult signature with EMS, but only on insured packages. See your

Priority Mail International is trackable to major destinations. Priority Mail International generally arrives in 6-10 business days. Insurance is available, again it covers shipments until they get to your customs dept. If you experience delays past 2 weeks; we recommend you first check with your local customs as they may have held it up for some reason. See your
individual country for specifics. Look for "Show Dimensions" on Postage Rate Calculator page after you have selected your country.
First Class International is NOT trackable. First Class International generally arrives in 10 or more business days (don't count weekends). If you experience delays past 3 weeks; we recommend you first check with your local customs as they may have held it up for some reason. Not Trackable means if you do not receive your package USPS will not be able to look for it. This means that the postal system does not handle your box personally or scan the package at any stop along the way. If you look up your package label it may have only one entry: that 'It was accepted in Urbana Il" (This means the post office knows they picked up your package at our warehouse and took possession of the package.) But after they pick it up, it goes in a large container of packages, so they have no real idea where it is as it makes its way to its destination. The post office cannot make any effort to find your order after it has left Urbana. That is why this is the cheapest method to ship. NO INSURANCE IS AVAILABLE as they do not know where the order is along the way. Normally First Class packages get to their destination close to the estimated time, but we know of instances where they were put in the wrong bag somewhere, ended up in the wrong country, and showed up 2 months later, or even of course that they never arrived. (though this last one thankfully doesn't happen very often. But this is a risk you take with first class.

Our Processing Time
We ship international orders within 48 hours. Normally, same day. You will receive an email from us when your order has been shipped with customs information, etc., for you to retain.
Display boxes cracked during shipping are not subject to refund or replacement. We check all display boxes before we
ship them to be sure they are in good condition. However, they often arrive from the manufacturer with rub marks or
signs of wear from shipping. None of the shipping carriers consider display boxes to have a value, only that they are
to protect the merchandise. They will not reimburse us for cracked cases.
Slot cars are mass-produced, and are sold for the purpose of racing (unless the car comes in a collector box).
We cannot guarantee that the paint job on your car will be perfect, and cannot take back cars as defective due to
imperfections in paint jobs, or other minor flaws.
Cars that arrive in Collector boxes are personally inspected before we ship them, as we know the condition of the box
itself is very important. Again, these cars are mass produced, (except for the very highest priced cars), and the best
we or any dealer can do in such a situation is to sell you the best ones available within the limitations of the
manufacturer's quality control. (We do refuse car boxes that are split or damaged and send them back to our distributors.)
