Chances are, if you enjoy slot car racing, you are a "car guy" of one sort or another. Many of our customers are huge NASCAR, LeMans or Formula One fans. Lots of our customers are crazy about race cars or Muscle Cars from their youth, or the Hot Rods that that crazy uncle owned. In short, there's lots of reasons to connect car nuts with this great hobby. A lot of our customers are also collectors of real cars too. It's amazing how many people have a Classic car or a sports car sitting in their garage that even a lot of their own friends and acquaintances don't even know they own. We are always looking for people interested in displaying their pride and joy here at our store. Whether you have an interesting race car, Classic, Hot Rod or exotic, we'd like to show it off here at our store. Most of us are not lucky enough to be able to own the car of our dreams, so we appreciate those who are willing to share their great cars with the rest of us. Check out some of the great cars that we have had here at HotSlots.
Thanks to local Citroen lovers Pedro Heller and Jann Miller for use of their 2CV's. These cars are so ugly they're cute! And small too, this is the first pair of cars ever featured on our floor. The blue one is a 1976 and the red one is a 1986, but one from the 40's would look just the same. Both gentlemen have histories with these cars so they just had to have one in their collections.
HotSlots customer Mark Mitchell lends us his gorgeous 1968 Jaguar XKE 2+2 in honor of the release of the Ninco Jags. This car is no "shelf queen", Mark loves to drive it whenever possible. Thanks Mark!

This month we have a classic Chevy pick 'em up loaned to us by Saint Nick himself. Nick does all his Midwest deliveries with this truck because he likes to fit in with the locals and reindeer have proven unreliable in recent years. Nick did warn us the truck will be briefly vanish on the 24th but will magically reappear sometime on 25th.

This gorgeous, all original 1957 Mercedes 190SL is another beauty from our friend Leon Jeske's collection. This show queen is flawless, with only 600 miles on it since its full, ground up restoration.

Thanks to Steve Mechling (certified Chevy nut) for loaning us this
awesome fully restored, slightly custom '55 Nomad. Steve's car won back
to back trophies the two most recent local car shows.

Derald Seeds and his wife Patsy painstakingly restored this immaculate 1964 Mustang convertible in 2005. It appears in its original Pagoda Green color and is a '64 1/2 April car that's 99.9 % original. It has the sweet running 260 motor in it and was the first Mustang ever sold in Edgar county Illinois back in 1964.

Gene Shelton loaned us his stunning 1963 Chevrolet Impala Custom. Amazing custom paint job makes this Impala a stand out! Every part on the Impala is 1963 or older.

Pictured above is Jack Bretall, from Central Illinois Produce, lends us his Ford powered Aquila kit car for the month of June. It may not be the real thing, but it sure is a head turner!
|
Pictured above is Leon Jeske, he loaned us his beautiful 1969 BMW 2002, the car that started America's love affair with BMW's! A real car NUT, you'll be seeing many more of Leon's great cars in the future.

Our long-time employees Gary and Betty Wiseman's restored Model A Ford truck was a real hit for the late winter months. Gary really enjoys going on trips with other Model A owners. Betty goes along.

Pictured above is San Villanti, he loaned us his gorgeous '32 Ford replica powered by a real Hemi! The car was spotless except for the dead Dragonfly perfectly smashed on the grill. I made him keep it there.

Pictured above is a awesome looking Duesenburg Indy Car replica loaned to us by Jim and Linda Cross! You don't want to drive it in the snow which is why we had it for over 2 months.
|
Picture above is a great looking Corvette Grand Sport replica
loaned to us by Doug and Delora Hanner. It was a little before the Grand Opening which explains the empty shelves.
